Data Engineer Teradata

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer (Teradata) to join our data engineering

team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Teradata SQL, BTEQ, FastLoad,

MultiLoad, data modeling, and ETL development, with a strong focus on performance

optimization. A passion for problem-solving, data-driven solutions, and process automation

will be key to success in this role. 

Experience Required: 3+ Years  

Location: Patna  

Education: M.Sc. (IT) / MCA / B.Tech / B.E. from a reputed institute  

Key Responsibilities  

 Design, develop, and optimize Teradata-based data solutions to support business

needs.  

 Write efficient and scalable Teradata SQL queries, BTEQ scripts, FastLoad, and

MultiLoad jobs.  

 Implement data modeling techniques for structured and unstructured data.  

 Develop and manage ETL workflows using Informatica, Talend, or similar tools.  

 Conduct performance tuning and query optimization for large-scale datasets.  

 Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business teams to understand

requirements and deliver robust data solutions.  

 Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across pipelines.  

 Leverage Python scripting (good to have) for automation, orchestration, and advanced

data processing tasks.  

 Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers in the team.  

 Required Skills  

 Strong expertise in Teradata SQL, BTEQ, FastLoad, and MultiLoad.  

 Solid experience in data modeling and database design.  

 Hands-on with ETL tools such as Informatica / Talend.  

 Proven experience in performance optimization and query tuning.  

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
