Assistant Designer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Trend Research: Conduct market analysis to identify upcoming shifts in fabrics, colors, textures, and silhouettes.
· Concept & Ideation: Build mood boards and seasonal theme concepts to present to stakeholders.
· Technical Sketching: Generate flat drawings and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) digital illustrations for design development packages.
· Material Sourcing: Visit trade shows and textile markets to select fabrics, trims, embellishments, and custom prints.
· Tech Pack Creation: Assemble accurate tech packs with detailed measurement specifications, sewing techniques, and construction notes.
· Fittings & Prototyping: Partner with patternmakers and sample machinists to oversee fit sessions, making physical pattern adjustments for mass production.
· Vendor Collaboration: Maintain daily communication with local and overseas clothing manufacturers to ensure sample accuracy and quality.
SKILL SET Requirement:
- Experience 2-3yrs in Womenswear & Kidswear, preferably having Export House Experience and worked for Eu/UK Mkt.
