Merchandising Manager – Kidswear Knits
HiredNext Recruitment is managing a confidential search for a Merchandising Manager – Kidswear Knits for a high-volume apparel organisation in Kolkata. The client is a preferred vendor to leading domestic kidswear retailers and works across infants, kids and teens.
Role mandate
- Own end-to-end merchandising across key domestic retail accounts.
- Drive product development, sampling, costing, order conversion, production follow-up and delivery.
- Work closely with design, sourcing, planning, production and quality teams.
- Lead commercial negotiations, margin protection, critical-path management and buyer communication.
- Build strong team discipline across a high-volume knit kidswear business.
Ideal profile
- 10+ years in apparel merchandising with strong knitwear exposure.
- Hands-on experience with infants, kids or teen categories strongly preferred.
- Experience with domestic retail clients and high-volume programs.
- Strong costing, negotiation, commercial judgement and execution ownership.
